In 2016, the Board of Optometry through the Board Resolution No. 11 series of 2016 required Optometrists to have a professional set-up, secure and display Certificate of Good Standing (COGS) in their place of practice. Last October 2, 2024, the Board of Optometry promulgated the Guidelines for the implementation of COGS requirement in compliance with Section 36, 37 and 38 of RA 8050.
